Again, it is our job to research and provide you the best up to date information and suggest dealerships where these goals can be accomplished. We are not brokers or agents. Our fees are earned by providing our clients with the data they need to make a good deal in their best interests – not those of the selling dealer.
Once you determine the type of car you want, the process begins.
The first step will be to contact the dealer and secure the lowest price for your car of choice. This price will reflect any incentives that the dealer may not be disclosing, but as an insider, I will have access to. I’m not talking about the incentives to the buyer in the form of rebates. I’m referring to the incentives the dealers get from the manufacturer for selling certain cars. These incentives can lower the price of your car significantly and you would never know about it. As someone with years of experience, I am privy to the incentives and will use them to get you the best price on your car.
Next, I will check with multiple wholesale sources to determine a fair price for your trade so you do not “donate” your car to the dealer for a lowball price. I have multiple sources that will purchase your trade outright if necessary. Don’t think that because you feel your car is old or not in great condition that it isn’t worth something.
After determining your car’s real trade value, I will do a lease/ finance scenario for you to decide which best suits your needs and financial situation. While a lease may seem attractive because the monthly cost is lower, it does not reflect the hidden costs built into leasing.
Thinking ahead to the life of your vehicle, I will recommend whether you should buy an extended service contract and check multiple sources for competitive pricing if you need one.
Finally, once I find the car you want, I will set up the test drive. Your price for the vehicle you choose will have already been negotiated by me and you will not be subject to further haggling.
